The Defense

Here they are the endorsements for LoB Tank classes: The Urdhun of Talamhria, the Huscarl of Norsengard and the Knight of Avalon. These classes have three different combat specializations and below you can see the three different styles and some of their characteristics.

One handed and shield

unnamed

One-handed weapon and shield: The shield is the real star of this specialization, assisted by the weapon with both defensive and offensive functions. On Talamhria, this specialization is called “Magwyr”, on Norsengard “Bradgang” and on Avalon “Bulwark”.

  • The shield has a chance to completely block physical blows directed toward it or toward its protégé.
  • Also the shield, if enchanted with certain types of runes, can limit its magic damage or its protégé.
  • The shield can be used to stun or to damage opponents.
  • The weapon has a chance to parry physical blows.
  • It has the ability to challenge the opponents and direct their attacks toward itself. (PvE)
  • In addition, it can use shields of different sizes and, with the larger ones, block more shots simultaneously.
  • After blocking with the shield there is the chance to fight back with shots able to alter the state of the opponent.

 Dual wield

unnamed (1)But for those who make fighting a real art then the one-handed “two weapon” will make you dance for your enemies a deadly dance: this defensive style uses a pair of one-handed weapons, combining speed and accuracy. On Talamhria this specialization is called  “Fal”, on Norsengard “Skydd” and on Avalon “Hedge”.

  • The weapon has a chance to parry physical blows, limiting its damage or toward its protégé.
  • Increased damage to unarmed opponents.
  • It can dodge the attacks of the opponents.
  • It can increase the evasive skill of its protégé.
  • It has the ability to challenge opponents and direct their attacks toward itself. (PvE)
  • After dodging an attack it has a chance to fight back with shots to alter the state of the opponent.

 Two handed

unnamed (2)If the one-handed weapon and the shield do not make you feel real fighters, then the “two-handed weapon” style might be your best choice: The focal point of this style is the great two-handed weapon, used to defend and to attack. On Talamhria this specialization is called “Ydfran”, on Norsengard “Schacktorn” and on Avalon “Tower“.

  • The weapon has a chance to parry physical blows, limiting its damage or toward its protégé.
  • When making a successful parry, the enemy remains numb.
  • The weapon, if enchanted with certain types of runes, can limit some magic damage toward its protégé.
  • After having parried It has the ability to fight back with shots to alter the state of the opponent.
  • Damage higher than the other styles.
  • It has the ability to challenge opponents and direct their attacks toward itself. (PvE)
  • It can dodge the attacks of the opponents.
